the "Green" sports venues are awesome!

The Hangzhou Asian Games opens today. As the largest sports event in China after the epidemic, the construction of the "sports venues" of this Hangzhou Asian Games is full of green and environmental protection.

As the first "carbon-neutral Asian Games" in the history of the Asian Games, the Hangzhou Asian Games will incorporate the "green" concept throughout it, and the sports venues will greatly achieve green environmental protection and sustainability. Among the 54 Asian Games competition venues in Hangzhou, 12 are newly built and the rest are renovated or temporarily built. In terms of green design of the venues, the organizing committee clarified the green and healthy design requirements for the Asian Games venues in terms of energy saving, land saving, water saving, material saving, health, environmental protection, green operation, etc. throughout the life cycle of the venue buildings, and proposed the venue design, architectural 10 aspects including design, structural design, and building materials are required to integrate the concept of “green and healthy building” into the entire process of venue construction.

For example:

Aquatic Center: The roof rainwater collection system can save 35% of water every month, saving about 1,000 tons of water per day on average;

Swimming pool: It can achieve "no water change all year round", that is, recycling without new water. The world-class water treatment technology used in the museum requires a drop of water to pass through 7 passes and circulate 24 hours a day;

Rock Climbing Center: Originally an abandoned mine, through "reuse of the old site", the abandoned mine pit was transformed into an Asian Games venue;

In terms of energy supply, the Hangzhou Asian Games achieved carbon-neutral listings and transactions for the first time. Through green power trading, photovoltaic power from Xinjiang and Qinghai and wind power from Inner Mongolia are transported to Zhejiang through the ultra-high voltage power grid. At the same time, distributed photovoltaic power and offshore wind power in Zhejiang Province also participated in green power transactions, with a total green power transaction volume of 621 million kilowatt hours.
